Freedom of Information Request

As part of the research and development for the group project, it seemed like a good idea to get a cost breakdown of the funding going into the Humber Street/Fruit Market regeneration.

We wanted to clarify the figures as, depending on the source, the amount tended to vary which was most likely explained by figures being declared at different points in time, or where the funding had been increased or redirected.

After some discussion with members of the group, it was decided to put forward a Freedom of Information request to Hull City Council, requesting a full breakdown of costs and where the funding was coming from and being spent.

Ian Judson has submitted the request, and we are now just waiting for the results to come back, so that we can put this into the pre-production files.

This will most likely be some kind of infographic using one or more of the online generators that we have discussed during the previous semester.

We chose to request the information because it could assist us in the final outcome for the video project, for example, if anything irregular or noteworthy was found.
