After talking with Sally during the one on one tutorials besides photography I've been instructed to delve a little deeper into Humber street. Find out more information such as where the money is coming from and being spent, it's past and any points of interest that could better help inform the project. The tutorial was helpful to discuss the concerns I was having in which direction to be working towards beyond my delegated job as photographer.

The brief we were given stated one figure around £1.4 million but depending on where you look online from news articles indicating £1.5million to council information saying £1.6 million it bared asking the question of why the discrepancies and what the actual figures are? Arguably down to different amount being committed on different dates.

To get an idea of the history of Humber Street and the area looking up some photography of the location was one avenue to explore. innesphotographers.co.uk has some great images going back to before when much of the area got bombed during World War II.

Ideally some of the images would have been shown through our project but copyright restrictions have made that a mute point. It is worth mentioning that paid licencing of the images is available but at £40 for a digital copy and the group not having the ability to budget for outside resources this was not a viable option.

The next step will be to talk to the rest of the group and discuss what we have all learned so far. Having done freedom of information requests in semester one it's already established this is a good source for raw data. This could be problematic due to the time factors or potential inability to get an answer if the request is considered vexatious in the turn around of FOI requests so fingers crossed it works.
